My long-term boyfriend and I bonded over this game hard core a few years back. Around season 10 is when he started playing and around season 8 was when they introduced a character that had me hooked, line and sinker the MOMENT I saw him in action; Walter ‘Fuse’ Fitzroy. An Aussie-inspired explosives enthusiast from the war lord-driven and run planet Salvo. A brutal and scrappy place to grow up, Walter spent a large part of his youth and mid adulthood running around as a mercenary with his best friend Margaret K’ohere(later to be known as ‘Mad Maggie’) but craved something bigger and better than their existence on Salvo. Maggie and Walter’s story had me enchanted, and it wasn’t long after that I also became intrigued by Caustic and his relationship to his brother Crypto. What started off as an idea for a flashback scene turned into an entire narrative, one that I am very excited to share and add to my storytelling portfolio.
